Series consists of correspondence created and maintained by officials in the Museums Section, its predecessor and successors, with museum officials documenting technical advice and assistance provided by the section to established museums throughout Ontario. Subjects covered by the correspondence include grant inquiries, exhibits, security measures, feasibility studies addressing museum expansion, renovation, and programming, attendance figures and information on courses offered by museums. The series also include maps, plans, sketches, newsletters, newspaper clippings and brochures.
